Magnitude 5.1 earthquake rocks Davao Occidental
A magnitude 5.1 earthquake jolted the municipality of Jose Abad Santos in Davao Occidental on Thursday morning, PHIVOLCS reported.
The tremor occurred at 10:42 a.m. with its epicenter located at 05.77°N, 126.24°E - 068 km S 76° E of the said municipality.

The quake had a depth of 061 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
PHIVOLCS said Intensity III was felt over Malungon, Sarangani, while Intensity II was recorded in General Santos City; Malita, Davao Occidental; Alabel and Kiamba, Sarangani.
Intensity I was recorded in Tupi, South Cotabato.
Instrumental Intensities were reported in the following areas:
- Intensity II - General Santos City; Kiamba, Sarangani
- Intensity I - Koronadal City, South Cotabato
