Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits Davao Occidental


A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.

The quake occurred at 7:56 a.m.

Its epicenter was located at 06.00°N, 126.27°E - 067 km S 71° E of Don Marcelino (Davao Occidental).

The quake had a depth of focus of 47 km and was tectonic in origin.

PHIVOLCS said no damage is expected but aftershocks may occur. —KG, GMA News
