The two brightest planets in the Solar System appeared to line up with the Earth's crescent moon on Thursday evening, as seen by a netizen in Muntinlupa.

The celestial event, known as a conjunction, was captured by Alyson Tolentino at 6:03 p.m. with her phone camera. She posted the picture on the Philippine Astronomical Society's Facebook page.

A conjunction occurs when two or more celestial objects appear close to each other in the sky.

According to astronomy website EarthSky.org, the last Venus and Jupiter Conjunction happened 10 months ago, on January 22, 2019.

There will be no conjunction in 2020.
