DOST’s new science bus a STEM mobile learning facility for senior HS students
The Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) launched a new science bus, NuLab, which aims to tickle the interest of senior high school students in various science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
Nanotechnology, aerospace, robotics, and oceanography are among the wide-ranging topics featured inside the mobile learning facility.
This is the second science bus developed by the DOST. The first one, Science Explorer, caters to younger students.
The NuLab can accommodate 24 students in one session and will hold two sessions per day which will be led by experts from different fields.
The modern science bus will welcome senior high school students from various schools in Metro Manila during National Science and Technology Week, which kicked off at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on Wednesday.
It will also conduct road trips in Ilocos Norte, Iloilo, and Bontoc, Mt. Province in the coming months. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
