Sun halo spotted in different parts of the country

A sun halo was seen in different parts of the country on Sunday, according to a report on Unang Balita on Monday.

Many netizens took selfies with the sun and its halo appearing in the background.

According to PAGASA, when the ray of sunlight passes through the ice crystals in high clouds or cirrus clouds, it refracts and reflects, creating the rainbow halo seen around the sun.
