More than 400 aftershocks recorded after magnitude 6.1 Luzon quake —PHIVOLCS
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology on Tuesday morning said more than 400 aftershocks have been recorded so far after the magnitude 6.1 earthquake jolted Luzon on Monday.
According to a tweet posted by GMA News reporter Lala Roque, PHIVOLCS recorded 406 aftershocks as of 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Of this number, 62 were plotted and eight were felt.

Monday's tectonic earthquake, which occurred at 5:11 p.m., had its epicenter 18 kilometers northeast of Castillejos, Zambales, according to PHIVOLCS, which upgraded its magnitude to 6.1 after initially recording a magnitude 5.7 quake.
PHIVOLCS Deputy Director Bart Bautista said on Monday that more aftershocks may occur over the week. —KG, GMA News
