This is the droid (you think) you're looking for.
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have built a robot that can tell if it's doing something wrong by reading your mind.
MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) hooked the robot up to an electroencephalograph (EEG), which watches for "error-related potentials" (ErrPs)—naturally-occurring patterns in the brain that happen when a person recognizes that an error has been made.
The robot then corrects itself as needed.
The system is currently set up to work with very basic right-wrong tasks, such as sorting and classifying objects, but the researchers are looking at expanding it to handle more nuanced tasks.
The results of the research have been published on the CSAIL website. — GMA News
