A video of what looks like part of a hillside sliding away from the rest of the hill has been gaining views on Facebook. According to user The Pandora’s Box who uploaded the video, this took place on August 26 in Benguet.
 
This is an example of liquefaction, “the temporary weakening of sediments in soil.” When this happens, solids (like the soil) act like liquids. Liquefaction can take place during earthquakes or when the soil becomes oversaturated with water. — Bea Montenegro/TJD, GMA News
