Strawberry Supermoon lights up Philippine skies
Filipinos across the country were able to gaze up at the Strawberry Supermoon on Tuesday night.
A report on "Unang Balita" showed photos and videos of the moon from different cities and regions — from Baguio City to Catanduanes.
YouScooper John Puzon also shared the stunning photo he took of the moon at 7:15 p.m. from Caloocan City.
GMA reporter Raffy Tima also shared some of his breathtaking shots.

The Strawberry Supermoon appears bigger and brighter compared to the regular full moon because of its "perigee position," or the period where the moon is closest to the Earth.
The Algonquin tribes from northeastern United States named it as such because it's timed with the harvest period for strawberries. —JCB, GMA News
