One of the favourite food combinations of Filipinos are mango and bagoong or anchovies. Indian mango is commonly paired with sautéed shrimp paste. But in Antipolo, Indian mango is not only eaten as appetizer, it is also mixed with various dishes. Some of the dishes with Indian mangoes are chicken with pineapple and tanigue or mackerel fish with coconut milk. Do not miss also Kara’s mango salad.

Another popular mango in the Philippines is Carabao Mango. This is sweet when ripe and very sour when young. The sour flavour of carabao mango is perfect for our favourite dish pork sinigang, chicken curry, prawn adobo and fish pinangat.

Yellow mango is commonly used in making desserts. But even green mango is now being mixed in desserts like green mango ice cream with shrimp paste and green mango flan.
