‘Born to be Wild’ hosts help save animals affected by Taal Volcano eruption

Clownfish became widely popular after Pixar’s “Finding Nemo”. Many divers find them playful and fascinating to watch. But experts say their population may be at risk due to climate change. Doc Nielsen goes underwater to observe their behavior. Under the sea, he documents how fierce they are when guarding their eggs.

Doc Ferds has encountered his share of “alien fish”, invasive species that are slowly taking over some of our bodies of water. One of these aliens is the snakehead or “black mask” known for its scary-looking teeth. In Calumpit, Bulacan, snakeheads are called “toman”. Doc Ferds joins local fishermen to see how voracious these invasive species can be.

After the eruption of Taal Volcano, residents had to flee their homes for safety. Many animals were left behind as a result of the calamity. Born to be Wild joins rescue and rehabilitation efforts for the animals affected by volcanic activity.
