Two-part yearender special on 'Born to be Wild'
Airing date: December 27, 2015 and January 3, 2016

2015 is full of wild adventures for our favorite vets, Doc Ferds Recio and Doc Nielsen Donato. After visiting seven countries and over twenty provinces in the Philippines, the Born team has captured some of the show’s most spectacular scenes yet—from up close encounters with the Peruvian Amazon’s sloth, to India’s rat temple.

In Part I of Born to be Wild’s Yearend Special, airing December 27, we look back on the most amazing encounters with wildlife from all over the globe.

2015 is also a year of heart-stopping rescues and wildlife missions. Doc Nielsen responds to a call to treat a crocodile called “Anding” who has been in captivity for the past forty years. Caretakers decide to turn it over the local DENR because of the croc’s aggressive behavior.

Anding is just one of the many animals that Doc Nielsen and Doc Ferds rescued this year. Sometimes, wildlife missions can even be heart-breaking, as in the case of marine mammals being stranded on the shore.
Part II of the Yearend Special airs January 3, 2016. Don’t miss "Born to be Wild" every Sunday morning, right after AHA!
