Deadly box jellyfish, mangrove reptiles on 'Born to be Wild'
BORN TO BE WILD
June 21, 2015 lineup
In Tagkawayan, Quezon, the venomous box jelly fish was reported to have claimed two lives this year. The box jellyfish is one of the deadliest creatures on Earth, and although rain has started to pour in different parts of the country, there are still places like Tagkawayan where the box jellyfish have not yet left the waters. Doc Nielsen visits Tagkawayan to document the deadly box jellyfish and find out more about the reported deaths from its sting.
Doc Ferds visits the hundred-year-old mangroves in Puerto Princesa Palawan where reptiles thrive. The team documents the mangrove snake basking under the sun when it suddenly jumps into the water and swims toward the team’s boat. It seems like the snake is checking out what the team is doing. Before sunset, another reptile shows up: the endemic monitor lizard looking for food.
