'Born to be Wild' goes to the AMAZON!

Sloth of the Amazon & Black Bears of Thailand
Airing date: May 10, 2015

Itching to travel this summer? BORN TO BE WILD has you covered with all-new journeys around Asia and South America!

Doc Ferds travels to the Peruvian Amazon to document the wildlife of South America.  In the next four weeks, Doc Ferds will come face to face with piranhas, pink dolphins and caimans!  This Sunday, Doc Ferds begins his Amazon journey by filming the slowest mammal on Earth: the sloth.

In Thailand, Doc Nielsen visits Asiatic black bears being kept inside the Tiger Temple.  Managers of the temple say the bears were rescued from illegal wildlife trade.  But just last month, the bears were confiscated when the Thai government discovered that the facility lacked the permits needed to keep the animals.  Doc Nielsen and his team continue their investigation on the tiger temple.

Don’t miss this week’s episode of Born to be Wild, 9:45 AM, after AHA!
