Nowhere else in the world can one find this stunning orange tarantula but in the Philippines’ Panay Islands.  Doc Ferds Recio unveils this endemic creature, which many may not know about.  In Panay’s protected forest, these tarantulas thrive and enjoy an undisturbed environment.

The opposite is true for the endemic Philippine ant-eaters known locally as balintong.  In San Vincente, Palawan, Doc Nielsen Donato sets out to see them in the wild only to find them dead and stuffed inside crates by illegal poachers.
