Rare and endangered slow loris on 'Born Impact'

This Sunday, the Born vets attempt to save rare and endangered species.

In Zamboanga, Doc Ferds Recio encounters a highly elusive primate with large round eyes and a furry body. This creature called the slow loris may not be as well-known around the country as other animals especially since it was believed to be extinct in some islands in the Philippines. This new footage from the Born team is proof that they still exist here. But the loris found in Zamboanga is in a poor state, and Doc Ferds must do what he can to keep the animal alive. Handling the loris is not an easy task, however, because this little guy packs a venomous bite.

Meanwhile, Doc Nielsen Donato encounters a critically endangered hawksbill turtle kept in a small basin in Masbate. The turtle's beak has started to deform and its shell has started to crack because of its enclosure. Doc Nielsen, as an accredited wildlife officer, convinces the caretakers to release the turtle, but they don’t agree. Will Doc Nielsen be able to save the turtle?
