This Sunday on "Born Impact," dragon-looking creatures will dominate your TV screens as we explore the world of water-walking Philippine Sailfin Lizards.





In Capiz, a Nipa forest serves as a secret haven for these amazing lizards. Doc Nielsen Donato stays in the province for 10 days to document them extensively.   Sailfins can run on water, just like the miraculous feat of Jesus Christ in the Bible.  And Doc Nielsen discovers more—it turns out these lizards are capable of a unique defense, the shedding of their own tail.

Meanwhile, Doc Ferds Recio visits Badian, Cebu to film another population of these amazing lizards. But instead of seeing them in the wild like Doc Nielsen did, Doc Ferds sees them inside bottles. It turns out that these lizards are facing a big threat from poachers.  Last year, five Philippine Sailfin Lizards were seized in Hong Kong after a tourist bought them from a trader in the Philippines.
