'Born to be Wild' continues the search for PHL tamaraws and Pacific sharks

BORN TO BE WILD
“Philippine Tamaraw” and “Palau Sharks”
Part III this Wednesday, August 7
Last week, Doc Nielsen Donato and the team captured footage of rarely seen Tamaraw behavior—from Tamaraws grazing in the field to families with their young. This signals good news: Tamaraws are breeding in the wild! The footage also sparks hope that their critically endangered population will be saved. But the team’s mission is not over yet. This week, the team tries to get even closer to the Tamaraws.

While searching for more shark encounters in Palau, Doc Ferds Recio encountered the shark’s cousin—the giant manta. About five mantas danced and somersaulted around our wild vet. But the attention of Doc Ferds is caught by a large gray reef shark with a hook in its mouth. Join Doc Ferds as he takes a closer look at this shark.
