Pope Francis receives 'Kristo sa Kariton' sculpture from visiting Pinoy priest
Pope Francis recently received a small sculpture entitled "Kristo sa Kariton" from a Filipino priest visiting the Vatican.
Fr. Flavie Villanueva, who oversees the St. Arnold Janssen Kalinga Center in Manila, gave the sculpture to Pope Francis after the latter's weekly audience at St. Peter's Square, according to a report on 24 Oras Weekend on Saturday.
The center ministers to the poor and to families of the victims in the war on drugs.
According to the AJ Kalinga Foundation Inc., the "Kristo sa Kariton" sculpture symbolizes Christ's presence around us and His grace through the blessings He gives. —KG, GMA Integrated News
