Pinoy group DM-X Comvalenos runners up in Asia’s Got Talent Season 2
It was a podium finish for dance group DM-X Comvalenos in the second season of Asia's Got Talent, placing second during awards night on Thursday.
The dance group was announced as a runner up to Indonesia's The Sacred Riana (Marie Antoinette Riana Graharani), who stunned the crowd and judges David Foster, Anggun and Jay Park with her magic tricks.
DM-X Comvalenos — which received a standing ovation from the judges as well as the coveted golden buzzer during the semifinals — performed a mix of strong acrobatics and smooth movies to the tune of "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park and the hit song "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee for the finals held at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Filipino beatboxer Neil Rey Garcia Llanes also had a podium finish, placing third overall.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to The Sacred Riana and to all the other grand finalists who made it so far. Asia’s Got Talent is the world’s biggest talent show and we hope that the series inspires the next generation of Asia’s stars to pursue their dreams,” said Virginia Lim, Senior Vice President and Head of Content, Production and Marketing, Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia. — AT, GMA News
