Comelec: 36K overseas voters enrolled in pre-voting system for Eleksyon 2025

At least 36,000 overseas Filipino voters have already enrolled for the pre-voting enrollment system for Eleksyon 2025, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Comelec chairperson George Garcia made the statement on Thursday, three days before the start of the overseas voting on April 13, 2025.
“Sa kasalukuyan, 36,000 na ang nagpapa-enroll na mga kababayan natin. Nakikita natin habang papalapit medyo tumataas ang bilang nang nagpapa-enroll,” Garcia said at the sidelines of the walk-through for the National Technical Support Center (NTSC).
(There are 36,000 individuals who registered for the pre-voting enrollment system.)
“Asahan natin na bago sumapit ang Linggo, mas tataas pa ito,” he added.
(We’re expecting the numbers to increase as the overseas voting starts.)
The Comelec opened the pre-voting enrollment system for the online voting and counting system (OVCS) on March 20.
Garcia also said that they are ready for the influx of Filipino voters abroad who may opt to manually cast their ballots.
“Handa po ang lahat ng embahada o konsulada kung sakali man na dun mag boboto ang mga kababayan natin sa kiosks,” he said.
(Our embassies and consulates are ready to assist voters if they opt toå manually vote.)
Of the 90 Philippine diplomatic posts, 77 will participate in the first-ever online voting and counting system (OVCS) and 16 will use automated counting machines (ACMs).
Voters can do the pre-voting enrollment through their own internet-capable device, voting kiosks at the Philippine Posts, or the field/mobile pre-voting enrollment scheduled by the Philippine Post.
Voters should observe the following in the pre-voting enrollment:
- Sign up using the official link for pre-voting enrollment provided by the Comelec;
- Follow the instructions indicated therein; and
- Once the pre-voting enrollment is successful, the overseas voter can vote online during the 30-day overseas voting period.
Overseas voters can cast their votes online until May 12, election day in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, overseas Filipino voters who are having difficulty enrolling in the pre-voting system may directly contact their respective embassies for manual registration. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
