PH Consulate in LA to assist wildfire-hit Pinoys with travel docs

The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles announced that it would conduct emergency operations on the last two Saturdays of January to help Filipinos who lost their identification and travel documents due to the massive wildfires in southern California.

In an advisory on Wednesday, the Consulate said it would be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on January 18 and 25.

Among the emergency services it will provide are passport/travel documents, consular notarization, and assistance to nationals.

While no appointment is needed, clients will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Consulate earlier said that its operation would continue despite the wildfires in California, which killed more than 20 people and destroyed thousands of homes.

It also said earlier that those who cannot come to their appointments can come at a later date given the situation.
