Murder raps filed vs. 23-year-old over alleged killing of 3 Fil-Am relatives

Murder charges have been filed against a 23-year-old man over the alleged killing of his three Filipino-American relatives in Baldwin Park, Los Angeles.

In a statement, the LA County District Attorney’s Office said Kyle Chester De Los Reyes was charged with three counts of murder and that he faces special allegations of use of a deadly weapon.

The victims are Mia Chantelle Narvaez, 8; Paul Sebastian Manangan, 16; and Rona Nate, 44. All three sustained fatal stab wounds.

“My office will work tirelessly to ensure that justice is served in this devastating act of violence, which has shaken our community and left a family forever changed,” County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said.

“Violent crime not only robs us of innocent lives but also threatens the very fabric of our community. Let this be a clear message: those who commit heinous acts of violence will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” he added.

According to the office, De Los Reyes is being held without bail.

His arraignment will be held on January 15. — Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
