CFO, DICT to modernize digital services for overseas Pinoys
The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) signed a memorandum of agreement to enhance digital government services for Filipinos living abroad.
According to a Friday statement, the collaboration aims to deliver accessible, secure, and efficient public services by improving system interoperability, enhancing service delivery, and promoting e-Government initiatives.
The agreement includes the integration of CFO systems into DICT’s digital platforms.
“This partnership will pave the way for more effective and accessible services for our overseas Filipinos. No matter where they are in the world, they can access essential government programs and services with ease,” said CFO Secretary Dante Francis Ang II.
Key initiatives under the agreement include incorporating CFO services into the eTravel app and providing a more secure platform within the eGov App to streamline access to critical services.
DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy highlighted the broader vision of the partnership, stating, “What truly matters is how we carry this forward—how we translate today’s unity into tangible benefits for our people. Through this partnership, we move closer to a ‘Bayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinas,’ where no one is left behind, and every Filipino has the tools to thrive, whether at home or abroad.” — DVM, GMA Integrated News
