No Filipino casualties in Iran's missile attack on Israel, Tel Aviv mass shooting

There are no Filipino casualties during the missile attack of Iran on Israel and the mass shooting in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Embassy in Israel.

"Upon receiving reports of an impending attack, the Embassy immediately instructed Filipinos in Israel to be prepared to enter bomb shelters once they receive a text/app alert or upon hearing an alert siren," the embassy said in a statement.

The embassy received assistance in disseminating the safety advisory through social media and messaging platforms from Filipino community leaders.

"As a result, most Filipinos were already sheltering in place or already inside safe rooms when the shooting took place and shortly before the missile attack at about 7:30p.m.," the embassy said.

"We thank you kababayans for quick adherence to the Embassy's safety guidelines, as well as the IDF Home Front Command for its timely alerts. Filipinos are now back to their daily routines, but remain ready and alert for emergencies." — BAP, GMA Integrated News
