DMW: Gov’t ready to assist 5 Pinoys hurt by flight turbulence
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said Saturday that the Philippine government was prepared to extend all forms of assistance to the five Filipinos who were injured in a Singapore Airlines flight that hit severe turbulence.
(We are thankful to Singapore Air as they are shouldering all the expenses. But, for our part, we are ready to shoulder any expenses. They will not be spending a centavo until they arrive safely back in our country.)
Cacdac said the DMW was closely coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on the condition of the Filipinos who were still recuperating at a hospital in Thailand.
The DMW chief added that all five Filipinos were safe and sound while recovering in the hospital.
