The 33-year old Filipino caregiver was among the 24 hostages who were released by Hamas back to Israel last November 24 in a deal that swapped hostages for prisoners.
Pacheco and more than 200 people were taken hostage and brought to Gaza by Hamas fighters when it launched a surprise attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz in southern Israel on Oct.7. He was caring for an 80-year old Israeli man, Amitai Ben Zvi for the past four years. Amitai perished during the attack.
