Authorities checking if there were Pinoys affected in Libya flood
The authorities are still checking if there were any Filipinos affected in the flooding in Libya, according to a report on Unang Balita on Wednesday.
A huge storm, Storm Daniel, caused flooding, burst dams, swept away buildings and wiped out one-fourth of the eastern city of Derna on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
At least 10,000 are missing, while more than 2,000 are feared dead.
"The Philippine Embassy sends its thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the floods in the eastern part of Libya (Benghazi, Al-Marj, Al-Bayda, Shahat, Derna, and Tobruk)," the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli said.
