Israel, Saudi looking to hire 1,800 Pinoys in hospitality, healthcare sectors


Israel and Saudi Arabia are looking to hire a total of over 1,800 Filipino workers in the hospitality and healthcare industries, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

Citing the DMW, a report from GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday said Israel needs 1,200 Filipino housekeepers for hotels and hostels in the country, with a starting monthly salary of 5,300 new Israeli shekels or over P88,000.

Qualifications include a National Certificate or NC II on housekeeping, a clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), being at least 25 years of age, Philippine citizenship, and no previous experience working in Israel.

Prospective applicants also should not have any parents, spouse, or children currently working or residing in Israel; must be physically and mentally healthy; and must have a good command of the English language.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is looking to employ some 600 nurses with a starting salary of 4,000 riyal or P62,500.

They must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, a license with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and at least a year of related experience following the board examination. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA Integrated News
