OFW in Saudi Arabia in critical condition after 'fall' from building

An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) has been hospitalized and is in critical condition after falling from the fourth floor of a building in Saudi Arabia, according to the Tuesday report of JP Soriano on Saksi.

However, co-workers of Janet Calayag believe there was foul play involved in the incident.

Calayag's relative, Princess Anne Reyes, was emotional as she related the extent of injuries suffered by Janet that include a cracked skull.

The relatives of Calayag have doubts about the accident as co-workers allegedly witnessed that Janet was pushed by another co-worker, an Arabian, who works as a guard.

Before the incident, Janet already wanted to leave her workplace because of supposed deductions from her salary. The guard allegedly did not like the idea and this led to the unfortunate incident.

Janet is a single mother of three children living in Malolos, Bulacan.

"Naniniwala po ako na lumalaban siya para sa mga anak niya," said Daisy Calayag, Janet's sister.

"Sana po ma-aksyonan kung ano talaga ang nangyari sa kapatid ko. Para makauwi siya kaagad," she added.

The Calayag family is asking the Philippine government for assistance. -- BAP, GMA News
