Duterte kisses a Filipina in SoKor

President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday kissed a Filipino woman in South Korea after giving her a book about corruption in the Catholic Church.

"'Wag lalaki, may bayad 'to halik. Handa ka bang makipaghalikan?" Duterte said while calling to a woman in the audience.

Two women, who seemed very excited to meet the President, went up the stage to join Duterte and get the book titled "Altar of Secrets."

Duterte then gave the book to one of the Filipinas and expressed that he wanted to kiss her on the lips.

"'Wag kang mag-amen, amen diyan, halika dito... Ang beso-beso?" he added, which drew loud cheers from the audience.

Duterte, who is in South Korea on a three-day official visit, also embraced the woman before the latter left the stage.

"'Wag niyo 'yung dibdibin. Do not... that's nothing except that I want to be close to my countrymen," Duterte said.

'Iglesia ni Rodrigo'

Before handing the book, "Altars of Secrets," to the woman, Duterte mocked the Catholic Church.

"Di ako naniniwala ng Katoliko, 'yang Adam at Eve na 'yan tingnan mo pagka-hindi...kung 'yan ang Diyos ng Katoliko, torpe 'yan. Maghanap ka ng Diyos na tama. Tingnan mo ha sa catechism, 'And God created the world. It was a paradise because there was nothing..." Duterte said.

He also talked about the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible.

"Ngayon nung naisipan nitong God ng Katoliko tinawag 'yung ahas, punta ka kay Eve, you tempt her to eat the forbidden apple... Tinempt niya si Adam na kumain rin then malice became... so lahat tayo nagkasala. We are born all sinners kaya pag magbinyag tayo para mawala 'yung sin natin... anong pakialam natin kay Adam and Eve eh sila naman nagchukchak doon?" Duterte said.

"Anong klaseng Diyos 'yan, perfect na sirain mo?" he added.

Duterte further said, "May bago tayong relihiyon ha paglabas natin... Iglesia ni Rodrigo tayo. Walang limit, may obligasyon ka sa sarili. Make yourself happy." — Anna Felicia Bajo/BM, GMA News
