Live testing of Passport ePayment facility to be expanded to DFA ASEANA
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Thursday announced that starting April 14, 2018, the live-testing of the Passport ePayment system will be expanded to DFA-ASEANA.
In an advisory, the DFA said this is in preparation for the upcoming launch of the Passport ePayment or electronic payment facility for the Online Appointment System.

The new system will allow passport applicants to pay in advance.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano announced the epayment scheme in December last year, touting it as one of the efforts by the department to make passport application easier for the public.
Cayetano said advance payment should discourage the high percentage of no-shows.
