Pinoy nurse charged in UK over hospital deaths
A Filipino nurse in Manchester, United Kingdom, is set to face trial for allegedly killing three patients at Stepping Hill hospital, a report on GMA News' "News To Go" said Monday.
Victor Chua, 48, is set to face the Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday, the report said.
Chua was accused of poisoning three patients to death between June 2011 and January 2012, it added.
The report said Chua was first arrested in 2012, but was freed after he posted bail.
A report on The Guardian on March 29 said Chua faces 22 counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, seven charges of attempting to administer poison and one count of causing poison to be administered with intent.
It added Chua, a Stockport resident with two children, was charged following a police investigation into the contamination of various medical products at Stepping Hill hospital. — KBK, GMA News
