Fil-German model places 2nd in Miss Earth contest

Filipino-German model Stephany Stefanowitz emerged as the first runner-up in the Miss Earth 2012 pageant coronation night at the Versailles Palace in Muntinlupa on Saturday, bagging the Miss Earth-Air title. The announcement was posted on the pageant's official Facebook page. Tereza Fajksova of the Czech Republic was crowned Miss Earth 2012. Other runner-ups were Miss Earth-Fire Camila Brant of Brazil and Miss Earth-Water Osmariel Villalobos of Venezuela. Stefanowitz gushed about her victory on her Facebook page. “Miss Earth-Air 2012! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! A big thank you to my family, friends (you know who you guys are!!!) my supporters, Tito Rodgil and my WHOLE Kagandahang Flores TEAM! Also to my designer Philip Tampus! I would have not made it this far without all of you!!” she posted.
