Manhattan festival spotlights Pinoy films


Film enthusiasts, students and the general public have until November 15th to catch the International Film Festival Manhattan at the Quad Cinemas on 13th Street.  
Among the selections for this year’s festival is a special spotlight on the Philippines featuring critically-acclaimed independent films. Five feature films will be shown:
  • “Busong” Dir: Auraeus Solito starring Alessandra De Rossi
  • “Thelma” Dir: Paul Soriano starring Maja Salvador
  • “Haruo” Dir: Adolfo Alix Jr. starring Jacky Woo (Bubble Gang) who
  • will be at the screening (with short film from the YouTube sensation
  • Moymoy Palaboy)
  • “The Caregiver” Dir: Will Fredo starring Liza Dino (who will be both at the screening)
  • “Aswang” Dir: Jerrold Tarog starring Lovi Poe and Paulo Avelino
