Pinoy in UAE a YouTube hit for "how to dance" video

A Filipino flight attendant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the latest YouTube sensations after his “How to Dance in the Club” went viral and has now almost 2.5 million hits.

Jem Mark Andrada, has been staying in the UAE for three years and decided to create the video out of boredom, according to a report of the news site Gulf News.

“I love the art of making short, funny films. I just wanted to have an outlet and get my creative juices going, so I decided to do something that I really love, and that’s to make people laugh,” he told Gulf News.

It took him roughly two hours to complete the video, spending an hour for brainstorming, 20 minutes for shooting, and 45 minutes for editing.

The viral dance video was uploaded on May 21 and showed Andrada demonstrating different club moves to the tune of the 2011 hit “Give Me Everything” by rapper Pitbull.

Some of the moves shown were the side to side, the chicken, the fist pump, and the virgin, to name a few.

Because of its popularity, Andrada decided to make a continuation to “How to Dance in the Club” which now has three sequels.

The latest video, “How To Dance In The Club Part 4” was posted on July 28, 2012 and has already garnered 8,611 hits.

It still follows the execution of the first video where he demonstrates different dance moves with “Give Me Everything” as the background music.

Although it hasn’t gone viral yet, Andrada said the positive reactions to his videos keep him going.

One YouTube guest, myvioletful commented on the latest video: “NO. 1 is still the BEST EVER :)”

Andrada replied: “nothing can beat the number, cos it pretty much sums up everything, :)”

Andrada is still surprised by the amount of positive reactions that he got for the viral dance video since he rarely goes clubbing.

“Last year, I went twice. This year, not at all,” he said. - VVP, GMA News
