Dante Ang II takes oath as Commission on Filipinos Overseas head

Dante Francis Mariano Ang II on Friday took his oath as chairperson of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO).

Ang, current chairman of The Manila Times, took his oath before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. inked Ang’s appointment paper last night October 16, 2024.

The CFO is an agency under the Office of the President and one of the several migrant-serving agencies, which has been providing pre-departure services to our Filipino emigrants, marriage migrants, US Exchange Visitor Program participants, and au pairs.

Its clientele is mostly bound for the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany.

The said Commission has a myriad of programs that aim to honor overseas Filipinos and strengthen ties with the Filipino communities overseas.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
