Croatia to hire Filipino caregivers

Thousands of jobs are in store for Filipino caregivers in Croatia.

According to JP Soriano's report on "24 Oras," the special hiring program is contained in a memorandum of cooperation signed between the two countries.

The Department of Migrant Workers said the minimum salary could reach up to 1,000 euros or P62,000 a month, on top of overtime pay and other benefits.

The memorandum also ensures the protection of Filipino workers when deployed in Croatia.
