1 dead, 7 injured including 2 Pinoys as building collapsed in Qatar

At least one person died and seven were injured, including two overseas Filipino workers (OFW) when a building collapsed in Doha, Qatar, according to a report on "Saksi."

Local media reported that there are several families from Pakistan, Egypt, and the Philippines living in the building.

According to the Interior Ministry in Qatar, an investigation is ongoing to determine whether the incident is connected to the maintenance work at the building and whether this was given permission.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said two OFWs living in the building suffered minor injuries. They underwent treatment and have been discharged from the hospital. -- BAP, GMA Integrated News
