GMA News TV's 'Titser' reconstructs a school in Boso-Boso, Antipolo
Actor Rocco Nacino donates basketballs, soccer balls and volleyballs to Boso-Boso Elementary School.
In the final episodes of GMA News TV’s TITSER, the high school classrooms of the fictional town of San Simeon are rebuilt by the community – organized by the coop president Sir Gil (played Gardo Versoza) as a wedding gift to his soon to be wife Teacher Sandra (played by Agot Isidro).
This reconstruction was not just for the cameras.
The film crew behind TITSER spent two months shooting in a public elementary school in Boso-Boso, Antipolo – noticing the real life classrooms used for the shoot were still unfinished. Prior to the finale, the production team decided to help rebuild and repaint the school - not just the classrooms to be featured on the show - for the benefit of the students of Boso-Boso.
TITSER's production team helped reconstruct the classrooms of Boso-Boso Elementary School. Here are some of the tables and chairs donated by Xavier teachers - who played extras on TITSER - for the students of Boso-Boso.
Some of the teachers of Xavier School (who played the teacher extras in the series), observing the sorry state of the classroom furniture, decided to donate chairs and tables previously used by Xavier students to Boso-Boso. TITSER actor Rocco Nacino, who noticed the lack of balls for physical education classes in the elementary school, also donated dozens of basketballs, volleyballs and soccer balls to the school.
TITSER airs its finale episode this Sunday at 7:15 PM only on GMA News TV.
