Mga putaheng pinalinamnam ng itlog ng pugo, ihahain sa 'Pinas Sarap'
Isa sa mga paboritong merienda sa kalye ng mga Pilipinio ang kwek-kwek o nilagang itlog ng pugo na ibinalot sa harina bago iprito. Pero alam niyo ba na bukod sa itlog, iniluluto rin ang karne ng pugo? Sikat na merienda ang kwek-kwek dahil bukod sa mura, nakabubusog pa. Pero bukod sa kwek-kwek, may iba pang streetfood na gawa sa itlog ng pugo na pwedeng tikman, gaya ng siomai egg at pugulot o pugong balut. Ang pugulot may level-up dish version din na masarap na ulam, pwede ring pulutan, ang sizzling adobong pugulot.
Isinasahog din ang itlog ng pugo sa iba pang mga putahe gaya ng chopsuey. Pero alam niyo bang may dish na pinasarap ng quail eggs ang madalas ihain sa mga birthday, kasal at iba pang okasyon, ang sipo eggs! Gawa ito sa mixed vegetables na sinahugan ng hipon, cream at quail eggs. Sa Angeles City sa Pampanga raw itong natikman noong 1950s.
Pero bukod sa itlog, ang karne ng pugo masarap ding iluto at kainin. Sa Baliuag Bulacan, isang kalye ang nakilala dahil sa dami ng food stalls na nagtitinda ng adobo fried pugo. Marami na ring gourmet dish na gawa sa quail meat gaya ng hamong pugo, relyenong pugo at bacon wrapped quails.
