Easy to prepare snacks for kids from 'Good News'


School and academic pressures, harsh traffic conditions, and the unpredictable weather are just some of the factors that contribute to the daily stress that kids have to deal with.   Make coming home from school worth it by preparing these delicious and healthy snacks. Put a new spin on the ordinary peanut butter and bread combo and even hardboiled eggs with these merienda recipes from 'Good News'!  

Deviled eggs with hotdogs   Ingredients Hardboiled eggs, halved Cheese Minced onions Pepper Mayonnaise Hotdogs   Directions Cut hardboiled eggs in half. Separate the yolk and mash. Add the cheese, onion, pepper, and mayonnaise and mix well. Place a dollop of the mayonnaise mixture on top of the hardboiled egg white as filling and top with thin hotdog slices.  
Peanut Butter Sushi Rolls   Ingredients Apple Cheese Cucumber Carrot Bread Peanut butter   Directions Slather peanut butter generously all over the bread. Add thin slices of cucumber, carrots, cheese, and apple on the bread. Roll the bread and cut into bite-sized pieces.  
Peanut Butter Granola   Ingredients Oatmeal Cereals Honey Peanut butter Butter Dried mango   Directions In a saucepan, heat butter, honey, and peanut butter. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add the oatmeal, cereal, and dried mangoes. Using an ice cream scooper, form the mixture into little bowls and garnish with more dried mangoes. If you want it crunchier, just let it cool in the fridge overnight.  Peanut Butter Raisins   Ingredients Milk Raisins Crushed graham Peanut butter   Directions In a bowl, mix the milk, peanut butter, and raisins.
