Biyaheng hit na hit: When Drew Arellano’s adventures trend on social media
“Biyahe ni Drew” compiled frequently asked questions from social media and listed down the destinations that won the hearts of netizens.
1. “Mayroon ka bang napuntahan na sobrang ikinagulat mo na at ‘di mo ine-expect na may hidden activities pala na magagawa doon?”
According to Drew, his recent tour around Quezon City surprised him the most. He never thought that he could find a nature reserve inside the largest city in Metro Manila.
The La Mesa Nature Reserve is a perfect spot for bikers. If you want to be at peace with Mother Nature while in the city, this is the place to be.
Quezon City is also known for being the “City of the Stars” because of major TV stations are located here. To name one that is very special to Drew’s heart is GMA Network. And believe it or not, in his entire career, he hasn’t experienced yet being a news reporter inside a studio! So when he got the chance, he impersonated right away 24 Oras’ Chika Minute Girl and his lovely wife, Iya Villania.
From bakeries and coffee shops to fine-dining restaurants with different cuisines, Quezon City is also a place you shouldn’t miss! You can find in La Loma district the most delicious roasted pig in the metro!

Speaking of places named after former Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon, the sixth largest province in the country, Quezon Province, is among Drew’s picks because it's never a sleepy town when it comes to outdoor activities.

2. “Gusto ko lang malaman, paano ko masusulit ‘yung bawat biyahe ko kung mayroon lang akong working budget?”
In fact, every biyahe is highlighted with a working budget per episode. The show offers a lot of choices to aspiring travelers who want to maximize a limited budget alongside with a certain number of activities. Also, “Biyahe ni Drew”encourages its viewers to not limit their budgeted travel interests to local trips only. Drew stressed, “Papunta na ang turismo ngayon sa golden era. 3. “Ano talagang trip ‘yung tumatak sa isipan mo na sa tingin mo ay kaiinggitan talaga ng mga manonood?”
Drew couldn’t be any prouder to answer that question, “‘Yung ‘Living Large in Palawan’ episode namin!"
He added, “Sa Palawan, hindi lang kami sumakay ng eroplano, nag-sea plane din kami. At siyempre, solo namin ‘yung buong isla at may sarili kaming yate.”

“Naalala n’yo pa ba ‘yung torpedo boat ride natin? Ang maganda rito, parang nasa kamay rin ng bangkero ang bilis at saya ng paglalakbay sa river!” says Drew.

4. “Ano ba ‘yung pinaka-romantic na lugar na favorite mo so far?”
Drew explained first, “Actually, maraming lugar na puwedeng gawing very romantic. Depende na lang ‘yan kung paano mo gagawing romantic tulad ng pagdadala ng flowers, pag-set up ng candle light dinner or pagpunta sa any romantic place o restaurant kung saan puwede mong dalhin ang iyong loved one.”
He added, “Siyempre hindi ko makakalimutan ‘yung Mt. Pulag trip kung saan kasama ko ang asawa ko [Iya Villania].”
Drew described the hiking the third highest mountain in the Philippines is definitely one for the books! He even joked that one of their future children would be named Pulag.
“Ito na siguro ang isa sa pinakamura, pinakakakaiba at pinaka-romantic na biyaheng puwedeng gawin ng mga magsing-irog!” says Drew in overflowing sweetness.
