Hong Kong’s giant lantern called “Rising Moon” was built as part of Hong Kong’s Mid-Autumn Festival. Part of Hong Kong’s objective in building the lantern is to promote awareness on environmental conservation. As such, a total of 7,000 recycled 5-gallon plastic bottles make up the “Rising Moon.”

The “Rising Moon”  is powered with LED lights and situated near the water to create the effect of the lantern imitating the different lunar phases. Its height is 10 meters, or the height of a three-storey building, and has a dome-shaped structure that allows locals and tourists to enter the sculpture for photo opportunities.

Check out the “Rising Moon” at Victoria Park, Hong Kong.

9. Pui O Beach

More than its skyscrapers and shopping centers, Hong Kong also prides itself for its beaches. “Ang Pinaka” visited Pui O Beach and Cheung Sha Beach located at Lantau Island.
