Over P20M worth of shabu seized in Cavite, 2 nabbed

Police seized suspected shabu worth P20.4 million during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite on Sunday.

The Philippine National Police on Monday said two drug suspects, identified as Ranier Ricarto Reboriano and Joshua Ricarto Legazpi, were arrested in the operation at Tierra Vista Subdivision in Barangay Langkaan 1.

Police said the nabbed suspects were believed to be core operators of a certain Manila-Mindanao drug syndicate operating in Cavite.

Aside from the illegal drugs, authorities also recovered some buy-bust money, one unit of US carbine cal .30 with two magazines, and eight rounds of cal .45 ammunition.

PNP chief Police General Debold Sinas said the operation is part of a more intensified and swift action of Case Operation Plan (COPLAN) Blood Stone, which was designed to disrupt the drug distribution network of the syndicate.

According to PNP Drug Enforcement Group director Police Brigadier General Ronald Lee, the operation also monitored the involvement of some Chinese drug lords conniving with local drug peddlers operating in Metro Manila and Calabarzon.

Under COPLAN, operatives from PNP-DEG also seized eight kilos of shabu worth P54.4 million near SM City Bicutan in Parañaque City on Saturday.—AOL, GMA News
