P1-M suspected shabu confiscated in Camarines Sur
At least nine people were arrested and P1 million worth of shabu was confiscated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in an anti-drug operation conducted in Baao, Camarines Sur.
The implementation of five search warrants in Barangay San Juan, Baao town in Camarines Sur was led by the PDEA Camarines Sur Provincial Office.
The warrants were issued by Manuel M Rosales, Executive Judge, Regional Trial Court Branch 34, Iriga City against Arnel Gil, Annie Gil alias Honey Gil, Liezel Gil, Romnick Bayta alias Mik-Mik Baita and Romulo Barayoga, who eluded arrest.
The operation was conducted at the residence of Romnick Bayta and the following persons were arrested: Princess Mae Villamer, Marlon Bongcayao, Rommel Lacsamana, Rustom Lacsamana, Nico Bongcayao, Bringo Palermo, Herman Iglesia, Jonel Laceda and Celso Zamudio.
Officials confiscated 53 pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 160 grams with estimated street value of P1,000,000.00 and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
All suspects are now temporarily under the custody of PDEA Camarines Sur Provincial Office for proper disposition. — Peewee Bacuño/BAP, GMA News
