Alleged seller of marijuana concealed in candy wrapper arrested

A man was arrested in General Santos City for allegedly wrapping marijuana leaves inside candy wrappers, Bam Alegre reported for Unang Balita.

The suspect, identified as Nicko Fabian, sells marijuana hidden inside candy wrapper for P500.

"Ito yung modus operandi ng mga street level na pagbebenta," said Police Chief Superintendent Morales.

"Maaring kasama 'to ng iba pang tunay na candy para kapag dinukot niya, hindi mahahalata na may marijuana siyang dala," he added.

The suspect admitted that he uses marijuana but only to keep him awake while working as a computer technician.

Fabian denied that he sells marijuana, adding that he was only directed to deliver the items.

Fabian will face charges related to violations of the RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. — BAP, GMA News
