AFTER DAYS OF RAIN

Floods hit Camarines Norte towns

Continuous heavy rains have caused severe flooding in some parts of Camarines Norte province, leaving some motorists stranded and some classes suspended.

A report on Unang Balita on Friday morning said days of heavy rains have spawned floods affecting some towns.

According to the report, the provincial jail facility has been flooded and authorities are planning to evacuate the inmates there.

In Daet town, floodwaters have already reached some residential areas and caused the stranding of some motorists on a flooded road blocked by an uprooted tree, the report added.

Also, it said floods hit the Camarines Norte college, prompting the school administration to suspend classes.

Likewise, classes in all levels in Mercedes town have also been canceled due to floods. — LBG, GMA News
