Lawyer files Chiz Escudero’s COC for senator in Eleksyon 2022

Sorsogon Governor Francis Escudero has formalized his plan to seek a return to the Senate. 

On Friday, lawyer George Garcia filed Escudero's certificate of candidacy as the latter was in Sorsogon, according to a tweet by GMA News' Tina Panganiban-Perez.

Escudero will be running under the banner of the Nationalist People's Coalition. Earlier, Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda filed her COC for senator also under the NPC banner.

Escudero served as senator from 2007-2019. He also served as congressman from 1998 to 2007.  — RSJ, GMA News
