President Rodrigo Duterte met leaders of Congress in Malacanang on Wednesday night to discuss measures meant to curb corruption and cut red tape in the government.
Senator Christopher "'Bong" Go, a former special assistant of the President, gave the information to reporters.
Senate President Vicente Sotto III, House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, and House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez were present with Go in the said meeting which happened from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Go said Duterte was willing to attend hearings in both houses of Congress as a resource person for the crafting of the measures against corruption and red tape.
Asked what triggered the President to call for such a meeting on anti-red tape and anti-corruption bills, Go just said: "Lahat na po." -NB, GMA News
